Why you chose your name. 

I am not perfect. I know this better than anyone else – besides GOD, but everyday I strive and sometimes struggle to be a better person than I was the day before. A better friend, daughter, sister, co-worker, girlfriend (when in a relationship), mentor, etc…, and I know there are times when I fall short. But there are also times when just for a moment, you realize why you keep trying, why you keep striving, and you know in your heart without a shadow of a doubt, that it’s worth it. It’s all worth it.

If you were one chick from SATC, Girlfriends, or Living Single- who would you be and why? 

Joan – Joan is very successful, beautiful, loves her friends and family to pieces, can come across as a bit saddity at times, can be stubborn, but has a great heart and good intentions – even if they don’t always come across that way.  Sounds like me to me (and probably to my friends too)!

Why you choose to blog. 

I think it is absolutely fabulous that Lioness and Sphinx decided to create this site. I think they have done a wonderful job and this site serves a true and genuine purpose. Sometimes you just need to vent without the fear of being judged. Sometimes you need an outsider’s perspective, and sometimes you just want a good laugh and to know that it’s not just happening to you – all things this site provides. How can you not want to be a part of something like this? 

What makes you want to grab a shovel? 

People who always try to duck, dive, and out run their responsibilities. I hate to hear “it wasn’t my fault.” Be an adult and own your successes AS WELL AS your mistakes – just look at your mistakes as learning opportunities.
